This week marks one of my last in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. I'm currently preparing my MacBook by restoring it to factory settings, as I understand I need to return a clean device to my employer, free of any client data.
I've also had to say goodbye to many of my colleagues. With a full heart and a few tears shed here and there, they wished me the biggest luck and all well on my new journey.
Over the past two years, my tech stack consisted of Python, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and AWS. It was a truly rewarding experience, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I look forward to this new journey; fresh beginnings are always exciting.
Since change is fundamental to life, I welcome Berlin at what feels like the best moment of my life.
As the quote goes:
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man
Heraclitus
Heraclitus was a philosopher who lived "near modern Kuşadası" Türkiye (Heraclitus (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy), 2023) and according to what I understood, he saw the world as constantly changing, which was called "universal flux" (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy). Interestingly, he was a philosopher who went his own way in thinkhing without taking over other philosopher or historians thoughts (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy), 2023).
Looking at the world, I see that everyone and everything is constantly changing around me. Everyone is progressing, evolving in size, form, and appearance. Trees grow taller over time, and even small turtles, once they successfully reach the ocean, begin adapting to their environment continuously.
And if the river flows endlessly, the steps we take may land on new waters, carried by a fresh current. Beautiful.
